Big congrats to Cristián de la Fuente, who was nominated for an Alma award for his work on In Plain Sight!

Came across this one–they pretty much sum up my thoughts about In Plain Sight and keeping around some of those characters–Eleanor and Peter for example. We’re also going to have a couple of ways to support this amazing show as we wait for next season to happen.

Tim: What does the departure of David Maples from In Plain Sight mean for his wife, Holly Maples? Is her character, Eleanor Prince, still going to be on the show, maybe as a regular? Her interactions with Mary have been some of the best parts of the show this season.
Agreed. Sadly, a USA Network rep says, “It’s too early to address any casting questions for the upcoming third season.” And outgoing In Plain Sight executive producer David Maples himself says, “I have been completely out of the loop on what’s happening next. I know that they are making some changes. As far as Holly goes, she was not under contract last year; she was a guest star that was there from episode to episode. Thus far, nobody has contacted her, so I don’t know what their plans are.” Consider this the beginning of our campaign to keep Holly Maples as Eleanor on In Plain Sight. She’s been the perfect addition to the Witsec office, and we need to keep her!

The next “In Plain Sight” airing will be Sept 3rd at 1am so set the DVR’s–it looks like it’s back to the beginning of the season with “Gilded Lily”.

As for her often cranky, take-no-prisoners character, McCormack said, “It feels to me and I hope it does to the audience like a cover for pain and a cover for sadness and insecurity and vulnerability. I think it’s a nice dichotomy,” she said. “I think women know the truth which is, just like men, we are ambitious and grouchy and pissed off and not those things too. I think the show might connect with women more because we have obviously known it all along. And men are catching on now mostly because of cable. They’re like, ‘Strong women on cable. I think, ‘No those aren’t strong women, those are women.’ All the strong women articles crack me up.”

First, it’s soo awesome to see USA network have another amazing month of ratings (and In Plain Sight be part of it)
